Kacho Arakelyan

1 September 1936 — 1 June 2022

Kacho Arakelyan was born in September 1936 in New Julfa, Isfahan, Iran. After finishing his secondary school he came to London at the age of 22. He studied radio and television engineering and worked for Currys and Dixons Group as a field engineer repairing televisions.

After getting married and having his first son he decided to take videos from every occasion, be it a school event or lectures and concerts taking place in the Armenian community.

He worked for the Armenian embassy for more than 15 years as an official video taker of the meetings between British and Armenian governments.

He is survived by his wife Yolanda and his sons Ruben, Shahen and Norire.

Kacho died in June and was buried on 28th July 2022 in Greenford Park cemetery.
