Funeral

I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live, and whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.” — John 11:25-26

When Jesus Christ rose from the dead, He conquered death, in which we may say, “O grave, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” In funerals, we commit a person to God, trusting in His promises, to encourage each other and pray for the departed person. Traditionally, a funeral service consists of three parts: an intimate service for close relatives at the house of the departed, then a church service, and then a burial service. We understand that those who die in Christ are not dead, but live in Him, and so our relationship with them does not end with death, but we continue to pray for and remember them.
